Confession: I’m honestly a little concerned for how I’m going to remember the race. I don’t journal, don’t post often, am behind on the podcast, and don’t write many blogs. Something I got super super convicted of recently is that I am not using these methods to share with the people at home the things the Lord is doing in my life.
I was recently listening to a podcast about Elijah and Elisha. They are a duo in the Bible that always bring up a lot of questions for me. This particular podcast was talking about how Elijah and Elisha both saw resurrection happen from laying on people (1 kings 17, 2 kings 4). Yeah, laying on people weird I know. But it was talking about how Elisha would have heard the story of Elijah doing that, it would have been something he was familiar with.
Instantly I thought about the power of sharing testimonies. Showing people how God has shown up for you automatically leads them to the question of “what if God could do that for me?” And as is the case for Elisha and Elijah, sometimes testifying opens the door for another miracle.
We talked at training camp about Revelation 19:10 “The testimony of Jesus, is the Spirit of prophecy.” The way it was explained there is that telling stories of what Jesus has done in the past, opens up the option for it to happen in the future.
I want to write much more about the stories I’m seeing, but also about what the Lord is doing in my own heart. Get ready for lots of tell all blogs about all that’s happening with the Lord and on the field. It’s always a good time to testify to His goodness.
Looking forward to the upcoming Blogs!
I never thought before of the benefit you pointed out that by telling our story it opens the door for another miracle to happen! I love that!
